Saara, you wrote:
On a bright note, I was able to get in on a provincial radio call-in show.

group", but hopefully, it made at least a few people think.

I wouldn't mind being called a special interest group as long as the person
doing the calling, could say which 'special' interest I was representing.

In my town the BF mothers' group wanted to be allowed to come to prenatal
classes, which are all publicly run, out of the well-child clinic system which
absolutely everyone attends. The PHN (health visitor) in charge declined to
let us come and introduce ourselves, not because she feels it would be
superfluous to the information they get in the course itself, but because if
she lets in one 'special interest' group, she will have to let in the people
promoting baby swimming classes, baby singing sessions, baby gymnastics, and I
don't know what else.
This is a person who is very knowledgeable about BF, and about the commercial
influences creeping in here to undermine it. And even she doesn't 'get it'.
