Hi everyone, recouping from the test last week. I think it went fine - now I
just have to wait for Oct. :)

We have a patient that was on domperidone for only three days - when symptoms
started. She had a tremendous upswing in her supply (in only two days) and
headaches, (which Dr said is possible). The baby has vomited one time -
projectile, and also is having frequent loose stools. She called me after leaving
the MD (also an IBCLC) a message. I told her to hold off on the next dose -
and wait to hear from the doctor, calling her back if necessary.

So my question is: has anyone seen this before? We have had many moms using
domperidone in the last two years with no side effects.

This mom started with us for sore cracked nipples, cultured and found to be
bacteria, over two months ago. She was so worried about the infection coming
back that at one point almost gave up nursing when her nipples became sore
again. Even nipples shields were painful, so as a last resort (I really thought
she would be done with nursing after we left), I tried an advent nipple on her
nipple with great success. For some reason it worked wonders and two days
later she called "beaming" that the baby was nursing again with no pain and no
bottle nipple either (she only tried the advent nipple once afterwards) . So
because of this I know she is not making excuses and wants to nurse. So has
anyone's clients had any reactions to domperidone?

Thanks
