Dear Debbie,
Have you evaluated the baby's nasal passage?  It may have been clear at the
hospital with a delay of swelling ( from suction, ect.).  I had a case
similiar to this and it was only one narries that was blocked but it was
preventing him from swallowing and breathing. About 5 days old he developed
noisy breathing.  Mom used saline drops and by the next week he was
exclusively nursing.  Good luck.
