Okay so you've got my blood pressure up this am! What about the
increased lawsuits
against the medical community initated by parents that were uninformed
that formula would make there child more susceptible to a variety of
ills? I'm beginning to believe
that this really has to come to fruition in order for the
medical/insurance/legal communities to really take notice!!
ARRGGGGHHHH!

On another note: WIC of MA had two women come to speak to us about Asthma
and Allergies; defined, incidence, prevention, causes, education and
treatments. They passed out numerous pieces of literature. NO WHERE did
it state that breastfeeding either decreased risk or enhanced the immune
system to be better able to respond to an allergic or asthmatic episode.
I nicely informed them that I thought it was a "great disservice,
considering the role of breastfeeding in enhancing the immune system,
that no mention was made to even consider breastfeeding in any of their
literature". I just stated the above as a comment at the end of their
presentation and they did not respond....Hmmmmm no response
necessary...can't argue with fact!
