Yes, Deanne, I remember them. This thread reminded me of them boo, but I
had forgotten the name. Mead Johnson had a filling system from a ready to
feed can through a tubing into the nipple. Nursery personnel had to fill
each one before the feeding.

Didn't last long though. We all speculated they were either too
embarrassing and reminiscent of the "personal, sexualized" aspect of the
breast (same, old elongated nipples that came with every other kind of
bottle though) and/or in some way made mothers psychologically
uncomfortable (guilty?) for not using the real thing.

The connection implied between "breast" and "milk" was too obvious to
rationalize away! Mead Johnson would certainly not want mothers feeling
GUILTY!
