Dear Friends, I am stumped. Today I had a client whose milk supply disappeared overnight in one side only. No forewarning, no mastitis, she does not sleep on her front, both sides were working just the day before. First baby, baby is nursing and home with mom, 12 days old. Breasts are tender, nipples are not. Normal hospital birth (if there is such a thing). I know one case where the milk did not come in on one side; the mom had been molested when young. Doctor recommended pumping the side which "quit". Just realized I forgot to ask about past surgeries or accidents. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
