Yikes. But the most obvious reason would be (for example) that the mother
was just not feeding often enough or the baby was not transferring well.
Careful questioning and listening would reveal that, along with knowledge
of what the weight was at 2 weeks. Your own chat with her brought about the
knowledge that she was using oestrogen patches (yikes again....) and the
baby had a UTI. What benefit or additional knowledge would a 4 hr pump test
reveal?
