I work with a lot of REALLY low income moms who go back to work w/in just a
few weeks of birth (often in fast food restaurants and grocery stores, etc.)
. I have been telling them to freeze their milk in clean ice cube trays,
break out once frozen, and then store the cubes in freezer ziplock bags
(they have small amounts for caregivers to thaw easily, and have not had to
buy anything except a two dollar box of freezer bags) . is this OK? These
moms quit at the LEAST hurdle since WIC so conveniently gives formula
instead and then they don't have to "do" anything (of course, then they come
in crying because they ran out, we can't give them more checks . but that's
another battle I try to fight before they quit the BF) . anyway.

Can someone comment on the freezer bags/ice cubes scenario (for healthy term
babies).
