This is striking!  Sometimes we can "care too much". I agree with the poster
who said that maybe backing off is the best move. Being overzealous has a
more negative outcome than giving ownership back to the mom. As an old friend
of mine says:   "It's your baby, your body" your choice." I will say "I can
give you the information, an  offer of assistance and will be there if you
want either one" -  but in the end, she has to live with it. his may be a cop
out to some but an attitude which is saving my sanity these days.
