Barbara, has pregnancy also been ruled out? You probably have ruled that
one out but I thought of it because a few weeks ago I was consulting with a
mom of a 10 month old who suddenly acted like mom's milk had "gone bad" as
mom put it. Her baby still nursed because he really wanted to, but he acted
like he didn't like the taste. After ruling out other things, I asked about
the possibility of pregnancy and mom felt there was no chance of it. I
pointed out that as long as she was sexually active there was a chance. She
decided to take a home test to rule it out, and now... 2nd baby makes 4.
Sometimes when mom's have a sinus problem and they take guaifenesin it
thins the cervical mucus and makes conception easier. Also, some
antibiotics have been found to interfere with the effectiveness of
combination oral contraceptives by decreasing steroid hormone plasma
concentrations.
Just a thought.
