I understand part of the propaganda put out by the ABM Co's that make these
new improved formulas strongly suggest that the amt of DHA/ARA found in
human milk is unpredictable or unreliable or inadequate in some way and mom

oils. So .... the same ABM Co's that make these new
improved formulas as they strongly suggest.....
Phyllis: The story goes on. Only the product types change. In the
1950s/early-1960s, one of the companies widely distributed a booklet to
mothers in maternity hospitals and, in the section on breastfeeding,
recommended that mothers who were breastfeeding (read: not buying the
products for their babies) actually drink the company's artificial baby milk
themselves, in the interests of making good milk in sufficient quantities.
If they couldn't sell the products to feed the babies, they hoped to sell it
to feed the mothers!
Then and now, I see the underlying assumption that the artificial stuff
is the benchmark, and human milk had better measure up to that! Grr!
