    Hi Dawn.      I would have a pump in the room and recommend pumping twice a day today/tomorrow, and pump 4x a day when her recovery is well underway.  I know it is adding extra work, but think it will help in the short and long term.  If nipples are sore from latch, the baby was not on quite enough of the areola.   Susan in Minnesota    rn ibclc
