Yes, there are homeopathic remedies for hives and vary according to the
type of symptoms the hives cause. Homeopathy is safe for mother/baby when
breastfeeding so this mom could see a homeopath or also do her own research as
 to which remedy works for her. I looked up online herbal remedies and two
 mentioned, alfalfa and nettles which are both used as galactagogues;
dosage would need practitioner guidance. Perhaps, some info could be gleaned
from Sheila Humphrey's Nursing Mother's Herbal or she could be contacted as
well. I have never hesitated contacting the IBCLC/Herbalists with
questions and have email addresses if wanted by original poster of this hives
question. Motherlove herbal site has contact info and the owner is Kathryn
Higgins. Homeopathy gets my first vote as no side effects.

Any 'natural' remedies that work for hives? I had what I think was a
reaction to poison ivy on my legs last summer and am blown away that this
mom continues to breastfeed if she's suffering that kind of itching.
