I am working with an asthmatic mother whose baby is eight weeks old.  She
needs to use Proventil (albuterol) and Vanceril (beclomethasone) for which I
can't find any data. The literature also seems sparse as to management of the
nursing mother with asthma.

This mother used her meds during pregnancy but has not needed them
post-partum until now. Her ped. is unsupportive of her continuing to breast
feed. Are there any alternatives ? If anyone has any information ( clinical
or personal) I'd appreciate it.
