Funny, I was just going to post the exact same question about
infertility and bf. A woman in my LLL group has a baby who is now 1 yr
and continuing to enjoy a bf relationship. She has always had to work at
her milk supply, the baby was very distractable from about 3 months and
still gets most of her nursing at night which the mom is more than happy
with. Mom had a history of infertility, periods did not start until she
was 16 yrs old, very irregular, and went on b/c pills at 23. When she
stopped taking them after 1 yr her periods didn't return for about 5
yrs. It took another 7 yrs to conceive. She is happy with how things are
going now but would like to know of any links between infertility and
bf, she has not gotten much support from her doctors in this.

She has had success with fennel tea and fenugreek and continues to take
these. Prolactin levels were never measured.
