We are doing a skin to skin initiative at our hospital in response to the recent Mpinc scoring form the CDC for which we had very low scores. I am looking for a good skin to skin video in the delivery room that shows the baby being placed skin to skin preferable right after delivery for all routine care and preferably has some verbal instruction to the mom about the benefits and possibly the first latch. Our hospital administration is behind us with this project so we want to do it well and show them how important it is to bonding and breastfeeding. We have some good ideas for education and getting staff to buy into it but would love any suggestions any one may have. If anyone knows of a good video(s), has ideas or experience in a hospital that skin to skin is a standard of care, we'd love the help. We are going to educate about the benefits of skin to skin in L&D, post partum and NICU over the next year hoping to develop education and policy and make it the norm instead of the exception.

 Thanks,
