Hi All. I have a question. Every other year Stanford has a conference in Perinatal & Pediatric Nutrition. I went to the last one-2010- when I was not yet an IBCLC. A friend of mine, also an RD & an IBCLC, said she could not go because it was a conflict of interest because it was sponsored by Nestlé. However, a nurse IBCLC who works at the Hospital was a speaker there, & there were several talks about breastmilk (and it's superiority).
Nestlé is not a listed sponsor, but hey are listed as giving "scholarships" to the school for nutrition education. Is it a conflict to attend? Stanford & it's hospital has been a great resource for breastfeeding information (great videos on their website). Want to attend the first day, but not if it's "unethical". Help!!

Thanks in advance for your advise & input.
