Let me add this for the newerbies who might not recognize Ginni's name:
Ginni was ILCA's treasurer from 1989 to 1993. From 1989 until about 1995,
Ginni "housed" ILCA in her home so that ILCA members and people interested in
lactation would have more than just a PO box to write to. The only thing she
didn't do was take all the phone calls, as someone else did that. She was an
incredibly tireless worker at the ILCA conferences. She was one of the
earliest members of ILCA, and was one of the guiding forces behind the ILCA
affiliate in Chicago known as MILC (Metro Illinois Lactation Consultants).
She served as MILC's first treasurer. Ginni had an extensive private
practice in the North Shore area, and was an outstanding IBCLC. She
breastfed her twins for a LONG time (I don't remember how long, but until
they were toddlers -- got some great stories about twin nursing from her!)

A lot of what ILCA is today is because of who Ginni Brackett is.
