In the UK milk fever was the old name for mastitis, and sometimes severe
engorgement. It is not used now. In even older times, mothers were said to
die of milk fever, but this was likely to be infection caught by poor
hygiene in the old 'lying in' hospitals.

Not sure what you mean by fever caused by  'milk reabsorption' , Gina.
