Just heard from an IBCLC who had a mom (PhD in Pharmacy) report she had been
using cocoa butter on her nipples with great results.

Any thoughts? I "googled" the ingredients - used for cooking,
pharmaceuticals and cosmetics:

Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao) Cocoa butter is the solid fat expressed from
the roasted seed of the cocoa seed AKA beans. The cocoa tree is cultivated
in most tropical countries and is native to South America. It is highly
protective and acts as a water repellant. It contains about 5 IU of vitamin
E per ounce. Cocoa Butter softens and lubricates the skin. If it smells like
chocolate to you that is because it is the by-product from the manufacturing
of cocoa and chocolate. The scent can be overwhelming in recipes but you can
use deodorized cocoa butter if it is offensive to you. May be used in a
variety of cosmetic, toiletry and pharmaceutical applications to reduce
coetaneous dryness and improve skin flexibility. Suggested Use Levels:
Lotions & Creams: 3-5% Balms: 5-100% Bar Soaps: 3-6% Conditioners: 2-5%

KOH-koh BUH-tur : Latin genus 'theobroma cacao'

Cocoa Butter is a yellowy fat expressed from the roasted seeds of the cocoa
plant. It is solid at room temperature but melts at body temperature. It
softens and lubricates skin and is used in a variety of skin care
formulations.

Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao)

Certified Organic - We only use the unrefined and highly fragrant form of
Cocoa butter for it's rich skin soothing properties. Very hard and made
from pressing cocoa beans used in chocolate and is a high saturated fat.
Cocoa butter helps to lock in moisture to the skin.

Keeping moisture in sounds good to me.
