There was a study by a researcher who was on Lactnet at the time, which
showed that the antibacterial properties in breastmilk will continue to be
effective in reducing bacteria in the milk, including the infant's own, for
as long as it is good in the refrigerator.  After the baby fed from the
bottle, his germs were in the milk but continued to be reduced so that by 2
hours those germs were gone. (They were just his own bacteria anyway.)  So
one can continue to use breastmilk over and over again.  It's hard to kill
the stuff.
