I have a client whose baby has thrush. She is from a country where drugs
are not used as freely as they are in the US. She is reluctant to treat her
baby for thrush. She asked me if a thrush problem will go away on its own
without any treatment.

She is suffering with sore nipples and often must give pumped human milk
and sometimes formula, which she doesn't see as a risk to her baby.

What is your experience? Does a baby's system eventually restore the
balance in the gut?

She continues to pay my fee to help her feed her baby but she is too
fearful of following my recommendations. Her Ped is willing to treat with
Nystatin.
