Nettle is just a vegetable, and could easily be eaten as a cooked 
vegetable, steamed like any other dark green leafy veggie.  For this 
reason I wouldn't worry about the mom of any baby using pure nettle, 
even as tea/infusion, *in reasonable amounts equivalent to what could 
be eaten,* because it is just an ingredient in a healthy diet.  It 
would be like dehydrating your garden spinach/chard/romaine and putting 
it in soup during the winter.
