Hi all,

I've loved reading all your favorite quotes, & I'm compiling a list of
them. One fun thing to do is write/type these up on bits of paper, throw
'em into a basket or something in your office, & any time you need a
lift, pull one out & read it.

Also, they reminded me of a fun website/catalog I recently discovered.

Have you seen the stores in the malls (and also catalogs) with the
beautiful pictures in frames, or on coffee mugs, or a desktop pen
holder, with pithy, inspirational messages? Well, a new company,
Despair, Inc., has done parodies on these! Their website is:
www.despair.com .

A couple of MY favorite quotes:

CLUELESSNESS: "There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of
inquisitive idiots."
MISTAKES: "It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as
a warning to others."
DESPAIR: "It's always darkest just before it goes pitch black."
INEPTITUDE: "If you can't learn to do something well, learn to enjoy
doing it poorly."
INDIFFERENCE: "It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it
doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face."

Those of you that know me, know this is all VERY tongue-in-cheek. But,
we all have those days when we just want to slap the heck out those
motivational speakers/posters/coworkers, etc. A little cynical humor can
go a long way to help break through a bad case of burnout!

BTW, I have NO financial interest in this company--unless you count the
$100 I've spent buying stuff for my sons' rooms!

One parting thought, particularly appropriate in our business:
ACHIEVEMENT: "You can do anything you set your mind to when you have the
vision, determination, and an endless supply of expendable labor."

Smiles,

Carol
