Hi Alicia,

I was always taught that babies were circumcised on the 8th day because
that's when their natural Vit. K levels were high enough to prevent excessive
bleeding.  I suspect, however, that the trauma from the birth is over and
baby is bf reasonably well too.  Plus, the little wine they give the baby
helps considerably, I'm sure.

Informed means a lot.  If our Jill, now age 20, had been a boy, she would
have been circumcised.  With Torrey Beth, now 16, we were on the fence.  By
the time Timothy came along, now age 10, we were definitely against it.  Good
thing we started with girls!
