I have two new mothers who need help so i thought I'd ask the experts
for any and all advice

Mother one (baby born 4 weeks early on 10 May):

<<Okay, for the last 3 days Ileana and I are fighting each other
everytime I try to get her to latch on to my right breast. She
never really did like that side, but now she absolutely refuses to take
it! If you could only see what happens when I try to
get her to latch on! What should I do?>>

Mother two (baby born 15 June):

<<OK, I'll admit - I have NO clue when I have letdown. I don't see a
change in
how Jaelin is nursing to signal let down.

And I am also wondering about comfort nursing. Jaelin seems to fall
asleep
while nursing - about 10 minutes in and then she work her way down to
just
the nipple in her mouth - YOUCH!!!! She's having enough wet/pooped
diaper so
I know she's eating, and I see some milk in her mouth when I try to have
her
latch on again. So, how do I know when she's nursing for nourishment
and
when it's just for comfort? Also, does it really matter at this point?
I'll
let her nurse on one side for 15-20 minutes and then, when I "unlatch"
her,
If she's still making that cute kitty cat - licking face, I'll put her
on the
other side. Is this what I should be doing? I think she'd stay on me
forever if I didn't take her off - but a Mommy has to go potty
SOMETIME! I
feel like such a dunce when it comes to breastfeeding.>>

Thank in advance.

Gitte
