Depends. As the first homebirther most of my community knew, we were
so bombarded by astonished visitors, and I was so exhausted by a 5hr
2nd stage that I forgot to feed my baby and wound up admitted with a
bili of 25.9. With the second baby, we banned all visitors for a full
week.

Other moms I know found it much easier to limit visitors, by having the
husband stand at the door and talk and not let many people get past the
entryway.
