I agree with Kathy; with the right child and the right attitude of parents.
Maybe this couple wants some time alone or maybe they have not even thought
about taking a baby out before.

I took my son with me to births, into the dark of the night, in the state
of Maine, through the seasons, beginning when he was two months old. He is
now six years old and has traveled the world, beginning at five months of
age to fly in airplanes. When he was not quite two we moved to a remote
island in Micronesia, Pohnpei, where it was hard to keep him in the
backpack or sling because the local women would take him and hold him
whenever they could. We're still in Micronesia, Palau. Breastfeeding was a
cinch. Mothering has been validated. Now the older girls chase him around
and try to kiss him. :) and he thinks everybody lives on an island.

I wonder what are the concerns of the parents?

Warmly,

Lisa Boisvert-Mackenzie, Midwife
Palau
