I do find myself taking offense Becky- your assumption that those who have
concerns or questions have not read the book is just that- an assumption.
I have read the book..along with many other books talking about the same
subject... I never have yet read one that I will take as the "bible" for
baby issues since thankfully all babies are individuals and deserve to be
respected as such. If any one book answered or cured all the trials and
tribulations that parents face in child rearing, the author could buy out
Bill Gates.
 IMHO- the biggest threat to sucessful parent/ child interaction is when we
try one set formula as the rule for all just because the books may have
touched something within us. I am not you, my experiences are different so
some suggestions will not touch the same positive note in me as they did
with you.  As many mention- Lactnet is a great place for us to all disuss
our various experiences, question/try different techniques and to evaluate
based on this.
