A couple of years ago I collected confidential information from Lactnet
members all over the US regarding salaries and fees.
Before I finished compiling the data completely, my computer crashed and I
was unable to regain most of the info. :(

I did have some preliminary conclusions that you may be interested in:

1) Generally, RN, IBCLCs make more than non-RNs.

2) Most RN, IBCLCs make more than floor nurses, some are paid on the same
scale.

3) Most private LCs charge approximately $125 per visit.

4) Most charge less for follow-up visits.

5) About half of hospital based LCs were full-time with benefits.

6) Nationwide, the average hourly salary for RN, IBCLCs (at that time) was
$27.85

I had thrown out a couple of locations because their rates were either
dramatically higher or lower than most.
