This discussion reminded me of something that occured a number of
years ago. A co-leader and I had babies about the same age and we
both went to the same Ped. He was even one of the more supportive
docs at that time. However, when I took mine in for a check-up the
doc was a little concerned that baby 's weight gain had slowed a
little, so he suggested I start solids (baby was only 4 months
old). The next day, the co-leader took her 4 month old in and the
doc noticed baby had gained more than usual since the last
check-up. So, guess what, he suggested starting solids! Now how
can the same intervention "solve" two opposite "concerns"? Needless
to say, we both just continued to nurse and both babies grew up just
fine.

Winnie
