Cindy:
Does your hospital have restrictions against all children 12 years and
younger during RSV season? That is our immediate stopper for baby rooming
in with mom on another floor - in addition to availability of one of the
few 2-bed rooms & adult to stay with her.
But when I observe that mom often walks down to the lobby to visit with dad
and their children, then returns to her room, potentially bringing RSV with
her, all I get is a shrug of shoulders.
We do provide all necessary assistance & equipment for pumping during her
stay.
