The person at the following e-mail address, Pierrot Haddad, has contacted me
looking for information about possible causes of eczema and hives in a child
who is breastfeeding. The boy is about 6 months old now, and has had skin
rashes and hives since birth. He was getting some supplemental cows' milk
formula, switched to soy with no improvement, started solids with no change.
I've encouraged parents to go back to all breast milk for a while and for
mom to give up all dairy. Dad responded that son had had blood test showing
no allergy to cows' milk protein (?). I encouraged them to contact a local
IBCLC and he says they are in Beirut, Lebanon. If any of you can help,
please contact him directly. Thanks.
