Denny Rice asks about topics for office staff. We've been baskets with info for the offices so they've been asking us more questions than usual....Here's a couple of ideas.

1) A "What's new" session - for example, you could talk about "foremilk and hindmilk" -- this will give you a chance to give them old info and new info all together. I always "assume" as I speak that they are knowledgeable and helpful (which they want to be) and so this is a grat way to review or teach without being obnoxious!

2) Breastfeeding and medications. In the fall we gave info about cold and cough meds -- this spring we gave a lot of the same info with a slant on allergies. We really push Hale's book too!

3) Take one of the new latch videos - we like Follow Me, Mum - and remind them that breastfeeding feels good when it's going right. This is also a good time to talk about "babies who nurse all the time" and how to assess that statement and help a mom have an ENJOYABLE mothering experience including easy feeds.

That's my 2 cents for today!
