Another idea, if the lactaid seemed to help - couldn't it be dissolved in
water and given on a spoon with breastfeeding feedings? I remember the
directions are x drops per quart of milk. So igure (roughly) x drops is for
a whole day, dissolve into 1 oz water and give 1-3 cc with each feeding.
(30 cc divided by 10 feeds would be 3 cc @ etc.)

I really think tamping down the supply will help. Try thr archives, because
I think some moms didn't get good results until using spans of 8 hours or
even more! Then she would probably have to express a little from unused
side for comfort. Not a lot because that would continue to stim supply. I
used to put a diaper under the unused side and figure well he won't have to
drink whatever leaked out during let down ! (This was in the days before we
knew or understood the effects of oversupply :-) I was more concerned about
his insane weight gain of 1 lb/week! Looking back over 35 years I realize
he was fussy because his tummy hurt, not because he was hungry again!
Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
