My understanding of thrush is that it can be a systemic problem
too that flairs up as conditions in the body get out of hand.
For example they may have had antibiotics years ago, introducing
the yeast imbalance.  Now for whatever reason-stress, or
moisture, and definately sugar in the diet they get a flair up.
Staying away from sugar,honey, juice is a major part of
treatment by one doctor I know who specializes in this.  They
should be taking acidopholus too.
