Hi Cynthia,

I hope this email finds you well. I lead lactation consultant outreach for EverlyWell https://www.everlywell.com and I wanted to let you know about a new product that we recently launched to help breast feeding mothers maximize the DHA benefit breast feeding provides to their precious little ones.

I am sure you are well aware of the benefits DHA provides to brain and eye development of children from birth to age two. Most Americans have no idea they are lacking DHA in their diet, or how to even account for monitoring those levels. Since breast milk DHA is directly correlated to a mother’s DHA level, low levels in mom may translate to low levels in baby.

That is why we are so excited to provide breast feeding mothers with the opportunity to monitor their breast milk DHA level and be able to affect positive dietary changes that will benefit both themselves and their breast feeding child. With EverlyWell’s simple at home Breast Milk DHA Test https://www.everlywell.com/products/breast-milk-dha-test , moms can now test themselves and ensure that their diet is rich in DHA containing foods that will then be passed along to their child.

We want to partner with you and empower breast feeding moms to affect positive changes in their dietary choices to provide maximum long-term benefits to their developing child and promote breastfeeding benefits to all mothers in America.

We would love to hear what you think and have you join us in partnership. To launch a partnership, please reach out to me at [log in to unmask] mailto:[log in to unmask] . I am also available to answer any questions you have. I look forward to hearing from you!

All the best,

Lindsay Turner

Who should take this test?

Our Breast Milk DHA Test https://www.everlywell.com/products/breast-milk-dha-test is designed for women who are currently breastfeeding and want to monitor their breast milk’s overall percentage of DHA -- a vital Omega 3 Fatty Acid for infant development.

Why is DHA so important?

DHA levels in breast milk is a reflection of mom's DHA levels and an indication of the amount of DHA the baby's growing body is receiving. We believe that women who know their DHA levels will be empowered to continue to provide the maximum benefits that breastfeeding offers. According to the National Institute of Health, DHA levels in American women is typically too low. Because the American diet is most often overly dependent on red meats, eggs, poultry and other protein sources not high in DHA, DHA levels in the body are often only 25% (or even less) of the recommended range.

What will results tell your patients?

Simple, safe, and convenient, the test is incredibly easy to take and our labs provide equally easy-to-understand reports on their own DHA levels once your sample is reviewed. Taking the test is done through a breast milk spot sample -- provided by placing a few drops of breast milk onto an included sample card, and letting it dry. Using this small sample, our labs will determine whether or not their milk’s DHA levels currently fall within ideal, healthy ranges for a breastfeeding mother. All from the comfort of their own home…what could be better?!

Your guidance is the next step and we want your partnership!

Based on their results, if their DHA levels fall outside of optimal ranges for breastfeeding, you can provide well-evidenced guidance on dietary and lifestyle changes that may improve their levels. As with all EverlyWell tests, we encourage consumers to share their results directly with you for personal follow-up.
