Lactnetters,

It has been a long time since I posted. I am breastfeeding advocate and
have been contacted regarding a post-op cardiac baby. The medical staff is
very concerned that the baby won't "get enough or gain enough". After
searching the archives and LLL's info database, I haven't been able to find
anything regarding breastfeeding a baby after heart surgery. If there are
any good resources, books, articles, references etc. that you could point
me to I would be very grateful. I would especially appreciate a reference
to the study regarding breastfeeding vs. bottlefeeding and oxygen
consumption. Thanks in advance.
