Hello :)!

I've been following the conversation on feedArt's comments section. Some
of the commenters (and my deleted comment) challenged the fact that they
use the concept of lactiferous sinuses as currently valid. From what I've
learned lactiferous sinuses don't exist. The more accurate representation
is that two or more ducts might join temporarily creating a larger area for
the milk to pool in closer to the nipple (I hope to be expressing this
correctly). They claim that the research which showed this using
ultrasound technology was sponsored by that M company and was inaccurate.
They sustain that Cooper's findings based on the wax model is correct and
that this is supported by the IBCLCs who they consult with who are also MDs.

I consider myself to be student still and would love some clarification
regarding this topic.

Thanks!
