Kathleen Bruce -
Both ICEA and ASPO officially adopted ILCA's Position Paper on Infant
Feeding, with all its references. It's a great place to start building your
talk, because most childbirth educators are certified by ICEA or ASPO, and
most belong to one or borh organizations. Both organizations adopted the
Position Paper several years ago, so (1) it's not new information that both
adopted it, but (2) some newer instructors/members may not remember. ASPO
severed all ties with ABM companies at the time they adopted the PP (1991, I
think), and ICEA has supported the WHO code for many years.

A copy of the Infant Feeding Position Paper can be obtained from the ILCA
office at [log in to unmask]
