Interestingly enough, the Dr. Greene Q&A under discussion
<http://www.drgreene.com/21_552.html> dates from 1996 (reviewed in
2001).  So it predates the 1997 AAP statement on breastfeeding and
the use of human milk.  Now, 7.5 years later, it could be revised to
include even more evidence of breastmilk's amazing and unique
properties.

Those FDA scientists who supposedly agreed that all the proteins in
breastmilk are broken down by strong digestive enzymes . . .  I
wonder *why* they think (thought) the human body bothers to make all
of them then?  Why would our breasts 'waste' energy and resources
making a bunch of specialized proteins that don't even have a
function?
