Greetings to everyone,

I do agree that there is a heavy influence of US-based lactation in this international organization. I also hope that everyone who responded to the subject line "I'm with Karleen" also understand that the issue that sparked this focus on US dominance amongst IBCLCs and Lactnet stemmed from a marginalized group of lactation professionals offended by a dominate culture of lactation professionals and Karleen, acting as the group's admin has not spoken out against the offense. No one as every making a point that the group's topics need to remain US-dominated. On the contrary, it needs to become more diverse to reflect the international certification. I hope the two separate issues have been established as we move forward in these discussions.

Angela, NC, USA
