What an incredible venue this is for the exchange of ideas. This morning I
was agreeing with the things Cathy Fetherston had to say, and then nodding
my head as I read Amy West's post -- and BOTH of these posts are well worth
reading, as was Jane Kershaw's yesterday -- you get my drift.

I know we're all pretty internet-savvy and read other things besides
Lactnet. Think about the nasty tenor of so many discussion sites and BE
THANKFUL - yes I"m speaking loudly! - that we can "talk" in such a good way
here, getting out our ideas without denigrating others' opinion or persons
or morals.

This is our own little Socrates Exchange, where we can examine the great
issues of our discipline - our passion - our times! - and hear from people
around the world.

Thank you Kathleen Bruce for this incredible community, and thank you
Listmothers for making sure we are remembering our manners as we roll along
rather than roll over each other!!

Dawn Kersula in Vermont USA (who was one of the original eight or so members
of Lactnet - and it has changed my life!)
