I speak to other Health Care Providers, LCs and Breastfeeding Educators
quite often on Postpartum Adjustment Disorders and feel that this a very
over looked problem with our new moms. There are many good resources, but
the two that I use for a quick reference are #1 Postpartum Survival Guide,
by Ann Dunnewold, Ph.D. and Diane G. Sanford, Ph.D. #2 Evaluation and
Treatment of Postpartum Emotional Disorders, Practitioner's Resource Series
by Ann L. Dunnewold. The Postpartum Survival Guide and This Isn't What I
Expected by Karen R. Kleiman, M.S.W. and Valerie D. Raskin, M.D. are good
resources for patient and their families. There are also several supports
and educational groups for us as professional and for our moms dealing with
Emotional issues during and after delivery. If you would like more
information please e-mail at [log in to unmask]
