At the time they were taken, Erica was nursing 2 of the children (The baby
and a toddler.) The children were accustom to the parent-child bond of
elimination communication, babywearing, and cosleeping. They also remained
unvaccinated per the Henderson's religious and philosophical freedoms.
While in jail, Erica was refused access to a breast pump, and developed a
severe case of mastitis while in police custody. She was also subjected to
illegal strip searches.
