In response to Marilyn's question re: Breastfeeding week 1998:  It is my
understanding that World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated the same week of
every year, August 1 - August 7.  On Long Island (NY) we sponsor a World
Breastfeeding Week Letter writing contest whereby we invite mothers to
write letters describing their breastfeeding experiences.  We usually
suggest a theme but all letters are read and judged.  A  free luncheon is
given for all contestants with the winners of the contest receiving a
savings bond.
