Kathleen -

Glad to hear the garden is doing so beautifully.  The beer issue does work
wonder for the slugs - remember to place your containers into the soil so the
lip of the container is at the level of the soil - you'll get more slugs that
way.  they won't climb up into a container, but they will enter and go down.

Hope this helps and apologies to anyone annoyed by slugs - they annoy all of
us who get away from breastfeeding issues by gardening!
