I just thought I'd do a little ranting and am also wondering if this
situation applies elsewhere.
It is written in most books for new lactating moms that it is important to
space BFing at least two hours. This is so the milk gets well digested and
doesn't sour. You know the story.
in between a baby will get fussy. In goes the pacificer. Babies are only
BF for food nourishment, not for soul food. And often the babies don't
gain adequate weight.

And then I heard the story about a baby, 3 mos., suffering from excema.
Mother tried everything. then she went to an anthroposophical dr who
recommended that she BF only every 4 hours so the milk can digest well.
(apparently their philosophy is to not BF more often than every 4 hours.)
The first few days the baby didn't like that, but what do you know?
The excema disappeared. That's just a hear say story, but who knows??

I would like to see a cuddle culture where moms can accept the needs of the
babies and just put them on the breast whenever the baby needs some
sucking. Take time out, relax and enjoy!
Thanks!
