Here in my city we have lots of "Ezzo" moms. I get tons of calls
related to "my baby seems hungry all the time, but it isn't time to
feed him yet." We have a church here that teaches Ezzo's
philosophies in their parenting classes. I have a difficult time not
saying, "Well the man is an idiot and maybe he will forget which way
to look first before crossing the street in England and get smashed
by a lorry!" But, I can't say that now can I? So what I do say is,
"Research (which usually holds more weight than Ezzo) has shown that
babies that nurse in cue (making sure not to use the word demand as
we don't want moms thinking that their babies are manipulating them)
has proven (can Ezzo prove his theory) to provide the best (and we
all want the best for our babies) way to nurse a baby." I actually
sat down one day and phrased that. Then I read from some information
that I have about how to look for early signs of hunger and watching
for signs that the baby is getting enough. It scares me when a mom
says that her baby only has 3 or 4 wet *cloth* diapers a day.

Then sigh not so, but let them go,
And be you blithe and bonny,
Converting all your sounds of woe
     Into Hey nonny, nonny.
