Sorry I'm coming in a bit late on this one, why was the baby more vigorously
suctioned after a good BF right after birth? Were there some indications of
difficulty handling secretions or other symptoms/signs?
Perhaps there is an anatomical problem? This would be one road to
investigate and the other, as Barbara said, would be tincture of time
basically. It seems the cup feeding was working the best so maybe return to
that with lots of kangaroo-ing and hopefully a self-attachment.
